Relationship Manager, International Financial Institutions (IFI)
**Location:** 127 Public Square - Cleveland, Ohio 44114 **Location:** Cleveland, OH (127 Public Square) + Position requires 3 days in office **Job Summary** The Relationship Manager, International Financial Institutions (IFI), is responsible for maintaining and expanding KeyBank’s Foreign Correspondent Bank (FCB) relationships to support international trade and foreign exchange services. This role involves strategic collaboration with internal teams and external partners to grow the bank’s trade finance portfolio, ensure regulatory compliance, and identify new business opportunities. The position also supports government-backed trade credit programs, including those offered by EXIM Bank, and overseas due diligence and audit processes related to FCB and trade finance portfolios. **Essential Functions** + Maintain and grow Key’s portfolio of FCB relationships, including regular correspondence and due diligence documentation. + Collaborate with internal teams: International Client Services, FX Operations and Sales, Standby Letters of Credit, Wire Transfer, Commercial Payments Risk, Corporate Compliance. + Identify and support profitable new international trade business opportunities with commercial clients and prospects. + Facilitate annual approval and maintenance of foreign bank credit facilities and country limits on the bank’s loan systems. + Ensure accuracy of trade pricing, obligation booking, and escalation of past due trade maturities. + Periodically update nostro account documentation and trade credit fee schedules. + Conduct periodic reviews of FCB demand deposit account activity. + Complete OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control) screenings, RSQs (Risk Survey Questionnaires) and other KYC due diligence for FCBs, as needed. + Support and grow EXIM Bank trade portfolio, including Working Capital Guarantee, Medium-Term Loan, and Bank Letter of Credit products. + Monitor monthly Borrowing Base Certificates and conduct quarterly internal audits of the EXIM Bank portfolio. + Prepare and distribute periodic outstanding reports on the EXIM Bank and other government-backed trade credit portfolio. **Required Qualifications** **Education** + Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field. **Work Experience** + Minimum 3 years of experience in global trade finance, international payments, and foreign exchange products. + Experience in foreign bank risk analysis, commercial credit underwriting, or portfolio management. + Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills. + Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). **Physical Demands** + General office/mobile office environment: Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate on the phone or face-to-face in person with teammates and clients. + Frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs. **Travel/Driving Requirements** + Travel to corporate office locations for presentations and leadership meetings and client meetings.
