HSBC Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) provides universal financial services support to large corporate and institutional clients around the world. Leveraging the strength, scope and expertise of our banking network, CIB is positioned as an essential partner to large enterprises seeking to maximize their potential and offers streamlined business access to HSBC’s broad range of market leading banking products and services.
Taking on this role, you will join the Global Network Banking (GNB) business. GNB’s focus is to provide banking services to subsidiaries of CIB customers through consistent, in-depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the goal of deepening our existing client relationships. In doing so, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, whose headquarters’ bank with HSBC in other countries, targeting superior customer service and upselling to improve revenue growth.
Based in Melbourne, this role will give you a great opportunity to broaden your corporate banking experience in an environment with a large internationally focused portfolio providing you with new challenges working across our full suite of corporate banking products including credit and lending, transactional banking, trade finance and markets as well as financial crime and credit risk management.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Acting as the primary point of contact for key clients and internal colleagues both locally and internationally across a wide range of product and client relationship matters
· Establishing strong and close working relationships with key individuals in clients’ management team
· Working collaboratively with other global businesses, product and service partners to identify opportunities to connect customers and strengthen the relationship
· Deepening client relationships and developing effective strategies to improve income generation, anticipating customer needs and providing a superior quality service to position HSBC as the market leader in this segment.
· Negotiating and structuring credit facilities and documentation under the constraints of credit/lending policies and market standards, in meeting clients’ needs as a result of thorough understanding of their businesses, financing requirements and market conditions.
· Maintaining a proactive calling programme to service clients, ensuring senior management and key stakeholders for key corporate clients are contacted regularly.
· Delivering a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions, and always acting according to the highest professional standards.
