REL Communications Program Manager
Location: Vienna or Winchester, VA, or Pensacola, FL
Hybrid: onsite 2-3 days a week
Shift (Time): 8:00am - 4:30 pm (local time)
Pay Rate: Open to Both C2C and W2 options

Description
Supervise and administer internal and external communications strategy for the department. To develop, implement, and evaluate change management solutions to ensure success of Department goals. Act as team lead for Communications Services' Core business workstream.
Responsibilities
• Oversees communication strategies, requirements, and execution.
• Applies expert knowledge of best practices, trends, standards, requirements, and developments in content distribution technologies to formulate innovative ways to support Department strategic objectives and promote continuous improvement
• Ensures communications are screened and in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, rules, regulations, organization's values, etc.
• Oversees the administration of content, design, and layout; approves and oversees changes/ improvements
• Identifies, scopes, documents, coordinates, and implements business communications requirements per program and project goals
• Oversees the execution of communications; analyzes and measures effectiveness of communications activities
• Acts as subject matter expert and main point of contact for workstream communications
• Act as lead reviewer for all workstream communications
• Provides consulting and support services to assist senior and executive management to identify and develop effective communications solutions that support business objectives
• Serves as a liaison with Employee Communications and other internal communication teams to achieve communications goals
• Collaborates with senior leadership on collateral duty initiatives such as Public Relations/, Enhance/Expand Communications Across Network & the organization's Depts., Guiding & Engaging Members
• Produces reports and makes presentations to senior management; provides recommendations on communication strategies
• Develops and implements the department's change management solutions.
• Serves as change management lead; applies change management principles and knowledge to develop strategies, including organizational assessments, stakeholder analysis, and change roadmaps and plans
• Evaluates and measures effectiveness of change activities
• Develops, tests, and ensures implementation of new and enhanced processes
• Performs supervisory duties.
• Sets priorities and expectations, coaches and counsels employees, supports preparation for performance appraisals, oversees personal and professional development
• Directs work, analyzes productivity and results, and resolves problems
• Establishes priorities and standards for productivity, accuracy, and customer service
• Develops and oversees the section's budget; makes recommendations regarding equipment and staffing needs; monitors expenses and invoices
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Experience developing and executing corporate internal communication campaigns
• Thorough knowledge of change management principles and practices
• Ability to deal tactfully with all levels of the work force and management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced business environment and manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet changing requirements and priorities to accomplish goals
• Strong ability to research, analyze, and organize concepts
• Proficiency with graphics, database, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet software
• Desired - Knowledge of the financial services environment and the organization's operations, policies, and procedures
• Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills, including extensive print and online writing and editorial experience
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
