Reinsurance Actuarial Analyst

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Reinsurance Actuarial team at Guy Carpenter. This role will be based in Shanghai.

We will count on you to:

Organizes client data, checks data for reasonability, loads data into pricing models, runs the models and shares output with senior actuaries to help determine client's degree of riskPerforms benchmark pricing with client data to assess a range of risk exposures and predict outcomes for clients in support of reinsurance renewal processCollects and analyzes industry data and updates market database to support advisory workConducts research on industry/regulatory developments that affect loss liabilities to determine the impact on clientsKeeps teams updated on industry-specific and specialty related trends that may affect reinsurance programs/calculationsPerformscalculations using the MetaRisk model to conduct benchmark pricing for clients

What you need to have: 

Master degree in Actuarial Science/Finance/Economics/Statistics or related discipline (for HK candidate, miminum degree can be Bachelor)2-3 year work experience in P&C actuarial fieldDesire to learn and further develop in the broader risk management field.Strong analytical and data skills with the ability to multitask and balance priorities.Outstanding computer and technical skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially working with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.Strong communication and presentation skills, independent and diligent.Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
