Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Reinsurance Accounting Manager to oversee financial processes related to reinsurance activities. In this role, you will ensure accurate settlements with reinsurance partners, facilitate reinsurance purchases, and manage the flow of financial data. Your expertise will contribute to compliance with contractual obligations and the delivery of precise reporting to reinsurers, brokers, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure timely and accurate settlements with reinsurance partners to maintain strong financial relationships.
• Manage the integration and recording of reinsurance data within financial systems.
• Facilitate the purchase of reinsurance for core business lines and ensure proper documentation.
• Deliver comprehensive liability reports to reinsurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
• Collect ceded liability balances and provide accurate data for financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with all reinsurance-related contractual obligations and standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective reinsurance partners.
• Monitor and track all transactions related to reinsurance activities.
• Support cross-departmental initiatives by providing expertise on reinsurance matters.
• Oversee key processes, including the preparation of Schedule F and coordination of reinsurer audits.
The salary range for this position is $100,000 to $160,000 + bonus.

Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems such as BlackLine, Great Plains, and ERP platforms.
• Strong knowledge of reinsurance processes and industry standards.
• Experience with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and general financial functions.
• Familiarity with auditing practices and billing procedures.
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Excellent organizational skills to oversee multiple financial processes and audits.
• Effective communication skills to educate teams and collaborate with external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
