Responsibilities may vary depending on number and functional focus of Senior Management Team.  The following list is a very comprehensive itemization of what would normally be associated with the position of Rehabilitation Assistnat at NMC ProVita.  The actual scope of responsibilities will be determined from time to time by the Manager, Rehabilitation Services in conjunction with the Senior Manager, Rehabilitation Services and Medical Director, Rehabilitation Services The Occupational Therapist and/or Physiotherapist will assess the patient for the required positioning needs. The Rehabilitation Assistant, attends clinical rounds with the Therapists to address positioning needs. Design, customize and fabricate the positioning aids based on the requirements of the Therapist and approval of Manager, Rehabilitation Services. Works directly with the patient during positioning and repositioning assessments (taking measurements and patient transfers). Adjust, maintain and fit adaptive positioning aids.  Regularly checks positioning aids for any adjustments or modifications. Maintain and clean equipment and work area. Responsible for the ordering of supplies and materials. Responsible for stocks and inventory  (material supplies, etc). Administrative tasks – keep track of all requests; expenses, etc.
