This includes upkeep of the department, clerical duties, patient transport, and patient care. · Administers hydrotherapy treatment, hot and cold packs according to written medical prescription and under the direction of physical therapist. · Assists patients in dressing and moving about before, during and at the conclusion of their treatment. · Assists patients in safe practice of activities related to the development of strength, endurance and daily living. · Assists with ambulation practice of specific patients whose gait patterns have been precisely established by a physical therapist. · Transports patients in a courteous and efficient manner with sensitivity regarding the patient’s problems and dignity. · Assist in checking clients’ vital signs when needed. · Provides client/caregiver education re: facilitation of functional mobility and communication. · Assists in donning/doffing and manipulating assistive devices, prosthetics, orthotics, splints, and ADL equipment. *Minimum Qualifications:*** Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent required Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
