Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve. *How you’ll contribute* A Rehab Tech who excels in this role assists in direct patient treatment for disabilities, injuries, and diseases under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist and/or Occupational Therapist. May also perform the following duties: * Prepares patients, treatment room and equipment for physical therapy sessions. Ensures equipment is clean and ready to use and performs final cleaning at close of department, in preparation for first morning patient. * Assists patients with dressing, undressing, and donning treatment garments while maintaining patients’ privacy and modesty. * Obtains and/or prepares equipment, materials, supplies and positions them appropriately for use. * Cares for patients during treatment and notifies the therapist of any problems with equipment. Stops equipment and notifies therapist at completion of prescribed treatment period. * Assists the therapist with supporting patients during ambulation (walking) and gait training (training patients to walk properly) to prevent injuries from falling. * Communicates any changes in condition (physical or mental) to staff Physical Therapist, nursing and other hospital personnel, as appropriate. * Transports patients according to scheduled appointment time and always complies with safety policies. * Documents treatment information when directed by therapist.
