Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Access Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating patient access to healthcare services, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients from the moment they arrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients upon arrival, providing a welcoming environment.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accurate registration.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow effectively.
- Address patient inquiries and provide information regarding services and procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient access.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with billing and payment processes as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other office software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle sensitive situations with empathy.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
