the supervision of a Physical Therapist Occupational Therapist or Speech Language PathologistAs a member of the rehabilitation team the Rehab Aide supports a safe and positive patient experience by assisting in the delivery of care and performing delegated multi skilled basic patient care servicesThe mobility aide will be responsible forProvides safe patient mobilization and transfer assistance using approved assistive devices and procedures in the acute hospital setting as directed by a licensed physical or occupational therapistMonitors vital signs before and after treatment and notifies patientrsquos nurse of any significant change in vitalsDemonstrates use of patient transfer equipmentdevice use patient mobility techniques and body mechanics in a safe mannerReports the patientrsquos nurse any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatmentDocuments and communicates completion of mobility in the electronic medical record and to the nurse for each patientPerforms other duties as assignedEducation to new and existing staff on safe patient handling techniques including but not limited toHoyer lift Sara Lift Sara Stedy Egress test use of assistive devices etcWork where
