Regulatory Specialist
Job Title: Regulatory Specialist Responsibilities + Create ingredient statements and nutrition fact panels. + Review and approve raw material and formula compliance through FDA regulations and standards within PLM. + Independently create and validate technical lab copy through application of global regulations and standards of principles of nutrition and food science. + Provide ingredient, formula, claim, labeling, and regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams on commercialization projects. + Offer proactive and risk-based regulatory recommendations on ingredient, formula, claim, and labeling to cross-functional stakeholders. + Review, register, and certify raw materials and finished goods with 3rd party certification bodies such as Kosher, Organic, Gluten-Free certified, non-GMO, etc. + Collaborate cross-functionally to review label content ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. + Utilize SAP PLM to review and approve ingredients, formulas, and graphics. + Stay updated on upcoming regulatory changes and assess regulatory risks in commercialization projects. + Partner with external regulatory experts to build internal expertise. + Develop SOPs and related trainings. + Co-lead 3rd party certification audits. Qualifications + Proficiency in CFR21, FDA, SAP, and food regulatory standards. + Experience with nutrition fact panels and ingredient statements. + 3+ years experience in a food regulatory position following US and global regulations. + Knowledge of EU, Asia, or South American food regulations. + Experience with PLM or SAP systems and food label review software. + Familiarity with DSHEA regulations and certifications such as CFIA, FSANZ, FSA, CFDA, COFEPRIS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
