The Regulatory Manager for the food industry in Vietnam will be responsible for ensuring that the company's products comply with local regulations and standards. This role requires a deep understanding of the Vietnamese food regulatory framework, food regulations, and the registration process.

Reporting Line: APMEA Regulatory VP, Country Head 

Key responsibilities Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products meet Vietnam Food Regulations, Customers’ requirements, and relevant international requirements. Regulatory Framework: Stay updated on changes in Vietnam's food regulatory framework and implement necessary adjustments to the company's processes. Documentation and Registration: Oversee the preparation and submission process of documentation for new and existing products, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies. Audit and Inspection: Coordinate and support internal and external audits and inspections. Ensure timely resolution of any compliance issues identified. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial, Marketing, RDA and Operation teams to ensure regulatory compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Regulatory insight: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on regulatory requirements and best practices. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate regulatory risks related to the company's products and operations. Business Acumen: Develop strategies that align regulatory activities with business goals to drive growth and market competitiveness. Support Commercial in Customer Engagement: Collaborate with the commercial team to enhance customer engagement and ensure regulatory compliance in customer interactions. External Relationship Building: Establish and maintain relationships with government agencies, participate in trade association activities, and represent the company in regulatory discussions. Qualifications and skills Preferably a Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field. Preferably 8-10 years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food industry, with a strong focus on the Vietnamese market. Good to have a comprehensive understanding of Vietnam's regulatory framework of foods, supplements, nutrition and pharma, food safety standards, and registration processes. Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Vietnamese and English, both written and spoken. Expertise in navigating and interpreting food regulations and standards. Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align regulatory strategies with business objectives. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive regulatory compliance initiatives. Flexibility to adapt to changing regulatory landscapes and business needs.
