Reporting to the Director, Innovation & Product Planning, the Regulatory Manager is responsible for driving open innovation initiatives and strategic product planning for water treatment solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment regulations, a passion for fostering external collaborations, and a proven track record in shaping regulatory frameworks.
This position is part of the Innovation team located in Canada. Preferred location is London, Ontario, but the role is open to remote candidates in Canada/US with willingness to travel. Local candidates are hybrid (up to 4 days/week in office); remote candidates must travel to the office, conferences and customer sites totaling about 25% travel.

**In this role, you will:**
+ Engage in regulatory committees, water associations, and industry working groups to influence policy development and advocate for Trojan’s position.
+ Interpret the regulatory landscape and help prioritize Trojan’s investment in the development portfolio.
+ Develop and implement strategies to shape and align regulatory frameworks with Trojan’s water treatment technologies and business objectives.
+ Represent Trojan in industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and stakeholder engagements to drive thought leadership and advocacy.
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, industry associations, engineers, academia, and internal teams, to enhance Trojan’s influence in the water treatment sector.
**Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field.
+ Experience in regulatory compliance, water resources management, or environmental policy.
+ Knowledge of water reuse regulations, including the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, and state-specific potable reuse guidelines is an asset.
+ Experience working with regulatory agencies such as the EPA, state water boards, and local environmental health departments.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical and legal documents.
+ This position requires periodic site visits to water treatment facilities and regulatory meetings. Some travel may be required to attend industry events or coordinate with regulatory agencies.
**It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:**
+ Communication, with the interpersonal skills required to engage with regulatory bodies, internal teams, and the public.
+ Managing multiple projects and deadlines in a dynamic regulatory environment

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
