Regulatory Compliance Specialist– Lending & Deposit Operations (Toronto Hybrid) Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Regulatory Compliance Analyst to support our Lending & Deposit Operations teams. This role is critical in ensuring our business units remain compliant with evolving federal and state regulations. You will work closely with the Product Operations Business Unit Compliance Team to enhance compliance programs, assess regulatory changes, and support risk management initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Under the guidance of the Business Unit Compliance Officers, you will: + Analyze and assess the impact of federal and state regulations on lending and deposit operations. + Review operational processes to evaluate the adequacy of compliance controls. + Assist in the completion of Regulatory Compliance Risk Assessments. + Draft internal compliance processes and documentation. + Identify and implement opportunities for improved compliance controls. + Develop and execute monitoring and testing plans. + Build and maintain a regulatory control inventory. + Prepare summary reports on regulatory reviews, risk assessments, and monitoring activities. + Support quality assurance reviews and related compliance tasks. Must-Have Qualifications: + Proven experience interpreting and applying federal banking regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg CC, Reg DD, NACHA, Remote Deposit). + 2+ years of experience in deposit compliance and banking compliance. + Experience in lending and deposit operations within a financial institution. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint are a plus. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience in risk management and project coordination. + Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., JD, MBA, or Master’s in Compliance/Risk Management). + Familiarity with compliance monitoring tools and frameworks.
