Job Description

About the Role: The Regulatory Compliance Manager is a key part of Visa Direct's second line of defence (“2LOD”) Compliance function. The Regulatory Compliance Manager will manage and continually enhance Visa Direct’s approach to regulatory compliance and will be responsible for managing and overseeing regulatory compliance matters, with a particular focus on regulatory incidents.

This role involves working across all business units to provide support and advice, ensuring that Visa Cross Boarder Solutions (Currencycloud) meets its regulatory compliance obligations and effectively manages regulatory incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure that Visa Cross Boarder Solutions (Currencycloud) regulatory compliance programs and processes align with Visa's standards.Proactively identify and evaluate emerging regulatory trends, laws, and regulatory updates in markets of operation.Lead the response to regulatory incidents, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities.Assist the business when required on further building out their First Line of Defence (1LOD) controls to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.Develop and implement mitigation actions for regulatory incidents, including conducting risk assessments and executing on mitigation plans.Work alongside a wide range of  business stakeholders to ensure that all relevant steps are taken to mitigate any impact from any regulatory incident to maintain our robust and effective regulatory environment including providing direction to relevant stakeholders to ensure any observed patterns and trends are known to allow for proactive control implementation.Assist in formulating management information and regular reporting for Senior Director Regulatory Compliance, Leadership, Risk Committee and Board as and when required.Carry out regulatory research relevant to specific business queries and communicating findings in a clear, simple and concise mannerThis role has the potential for direct line management.  Provide comprehensive support and leadership on various regulatory compliance projects when directed and needed, ensuring alignment with Currency Cloud's standards and regulatory requirements.

This is a hybrid position with the requirement for you to attend our Paddington office Tuesdays - Thursdays. 

QualificationsMinimum of three years working in regulatory compliance, ideally within the electronic money and payment industry.In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and rules applicable to Visa Direct and its regulated entity The Currency Cloud Limited (key regulations - EMRs, PSRs, Consumer Duty, FCA’s Payments and E Money Approach document, EBA guidelines applicable to payments services providers)Ability to provide timely and accurate regulatory advice to the businessAwareness of key regulatory risks to Visa Direct’s business modelProviding valid challenge and making recommendations as and when necessaryPrevious people management experience (e.g. line manager role) is a nice-to- have but not a requirement for this job.Visa’s Leadership Principles are Lead Courageously, Obsess about Customers, Collaborate as One Visa, and Execute with Excellence - our ideal candidates will show that they live these principles day-to-day.
