The primary role of a Regulatory Manager is lead and manage a team of Regulatory Technologists and Specialists, working collaboratively with the Kerry Regulatory and Scientific Affairs team to address regulatory queries from both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant responses that support business objectives and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

 Key Responsibilities:   

Drive continuous improvement of regulatory processes, ensuring efficient, accurate and consistent delivery of technical services to customers. Manage and develop a team of Regulatory Technologists and/or Specialists. Represent Regulatory function to resolve complex cross-functional business issues. Lead the team of Regulatory Technologists and/or Specialists to ensure KPI’s and regulatory standards are met and maintained consistently. Support regulatory team activities and projects as required. Attend Regional Regulatory Leadership team meetings and contribute to the development of the Regulatory function. Translate strategic business goals into clear, actionable functional objectives for the Regulatory Global Business Services team. Lead the development, implementation, and communication of regulatory initiatives to ensure alignment with functional priorities Qualifications and skills

Functional Competencies

Understand relevant regulations in the North America market. Understand regulatory processes. Understanding Food Industry structure and regulatory changes Food regulatory & legislative knowledge within the North America and Canada market is an advantage. Train, support, and develop junior members of the team. Identify opportunities for the regulatory team to increase efficiency, consistency, and accuracy of data provided to internal and external stakeholders. Leverage digital tools such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to streamline regulatory processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve overall efficiency.

 

Language Requirements

Fluent in English, additional languages (Portugues) as distinct advantage.

 

Technical Competencies

Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in SAP, Optiva, SalesForce systems an advantage. Experience with Digital Tools such as Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), or similar technologies a distinct advantage.

 

Qualifications and skills

Bachelor's degree in food science, chemistry, or related discipline. 7-10+ years within food industry or regulatory agency, with expertise in a range of food technologies. Quality Assurance, Production or R&D experience are also considered. 5 + years of managing people or leading teams is essential. Knowledge of food industry. Execute tasks using established processes and structures.
