The Boeing Test and Evaluation UK Team is recruiting a Regulatory Affairs & Air System Safety Case Specialist to support UK military aircraft operated by Boeing, both in the UK and elsewhere around the world.  The successful candidate will join an exciting team, working with Chinook & Apache helicopters, Wedgetail aircraft (a Boeing 737 derivative), C-17 Globemaster and a future autonomous systems capability.

This is a key coordinating role, interfacing with multiple departments inside and outside Boeing.  The role requires an individual with good communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and sequence technical work requirements within the team, controlling demanding workloads, whilst delivering to a high standard.

This role is open to full time and part time applicants.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Middle Wallop, UK. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Position responsibilities:

Support creation and update of Air System Safety Cases, providing timely and accurate status of claims, arguments and evidence for decision making

Coordinate evidence databases, including researching new evidence and communicating with stakeholders as required

Develop and manage metrics to ensure 1st time quality, as well to better communicate Safety Case status

Propose areas for improvement, then implement and review against performance criteria

Represent Boeing Test & Evaluation at Safety Action Groups, Team and company level meetings and present findings to senior decision makers

Support safety, compliance and quality efforts within the team, using our Centrik tool

Represent Boeing Test & Evaluation at the company-level Process Council

Coordinate / support 1st party, 2nd party and 3rd party audits, working groups as required, continuous improvement activities

Support updates to Letters of Agreement between Boeing Test & Evaluation and external organisations

Basic qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience working in the aviation domain or be able to show an equivalent experience base, preparing them for this role

Excellent IT user-skills, especially on Microsoft Office products and be able to rapidly master bespoke tools, such as Centrik

The ability to integrate will into a diverse team, operating across multiple UK sites and overseas

Strong documentation and communication skills, alongside their technical expertise

Preferred qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Level 2: Experience working with regulators and / or flying organisations

Level 3: Experience writing and managing Air System Safety Cases.

An understanding of hazards, risks and ALARP principles
