Registration Medical Assistant
Job Title: Registration Medical Assistant Job Description Join our team as a Registration Medical Assistant in the Emergency Room, where you will be the first point of contact for patients arriving in need of urgent care. Your role will involve checking in patients, taking vital signs, and ensuring that patients in distress receive immediate attention from the nursing staff. Responsibilities + Serve as the initial point of contact for patients arriving at the emergency department. + Collect and record patient's name and reason for visit. + Enter patient data into the tracking board to ensure visibility to all staff. + Notify RN for immediate triage if necessary. + Promptly update the ED tracking board to facilitate staff communication. + Document and maintain patient records, including vital signs and other measurements. + Assist in maintaining a safe environment by checking equipment and reporting malfunctions. + Respond to patient requests and keep them informed about their care progress. + Report any observed changes in patient condition to a nurse or provider. + Assist in triage by taking vital signs. + Help maintain a clean and orderly patient and work environment. + Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety standards, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. + Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Ability to take blood pressure and conduct phlebotomy as needed. + Proficient in electronic medical records and customer service. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 3 years of clinical experience preferred. + Medical Assistant certification or equivalent experience is accepted. Schedule + Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7P-7:30A + Wednesday - Saturday 11A-9:30P Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
