The Office of Events is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations". The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Registration Coordinators in all aspects of event and conference registration. Hours: Monday-Friday, between 8:00 am-5:00 pm. May include some evening and weekend hours as needed with prior notification. Weekly hours will be between 10 to 28 hours. The work schedule will be determined on a weekly basis.

Responsibilities Assist the Registration Coordinators in all aspects of event and conference registrationEnter registrations into database from phone calls, emails, facsimile, and mail notifications Process payments following the department cash handling procedures; some collection responsibilitiesAnswer phone calls and respond to e-mailsProcess registration requests from Program CoordinatorsName badge set-up, printing and preparation, and attendee check-inTravel as neededOther duties as needed Qualifications One year customer service and office experienceProficient use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and ability to learn new software programsAbility to multitask and prioritize Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent phone skillsExcellent oral, written, and interpersonal skillsCheerful and positive attitudeAbility to work well independently and as a teamWilling to go above and beyond for customer satisfactionTyping speed of 45+ with accuracy Preference given for previous USU experience Required Documents

Advertised Salary $13.00/hr ADA

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
