Registered Veterinary Technician - Internal Medicine

Compensation: $ 29 - 37 / hr, based on experience, knowledge base, and skillset.

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to join our Internal Medicine Department. This is a great opportunity for technicians looking to deepen their knowledge in advanced diagnostics and medical management of complex cases.

Responsibilities:

Provide high-level nursing care to patients with complex internal medicine conditions

Assist with and perform advanced diagnostic procedures such as:

Endoscopy, bronchoscopy, and rhinoscopy

Ultrasound-guided aspirates and biopsies

ACTH stim, LDDST, and other specialized testing

Place and maintain various IV catheters, feeding tubes, and urinary catheters

Perform and assist with imaging and lab sample collection and preparation

Administer medications, treatments, and IV fluids as directed

Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate condition updates to the medical team

Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols

Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients

Qualifications:

Active Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license in California

1–3 years of experience in internal medicine or specialty practice preferred, but not required

Proficient in venipuncture, catheterization, advanced diagnostics, and patient monitoring

Comfortable with sedation and anesthesia protocols

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting

Passion for patient care and willingness to learn and grow

Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional holidays
