Here at VCA Aviara Animal Hospital, we are looking for a talented, team centric Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team! VCA Aviara is located in beautiful Carlsbad, CA. 

RVT CA, Transferable Credentials or VTNE eligible required. We need someone who has proficiency in Phlebotomy, IV Catheter Placement as well as Surgical, Dental, and Anesthesia experience. Our clients, patients, and team rely on great communication skills, attention to detail and a desire to work in a great team atmosphere.  

Compensation : $ 24 - $ 30 / hr 

Negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials.

Essential job expectations including, but not limited to:  

• Venipuncture 

• Catheter placement 

• Radiology 

• Anesthesia monitoring 

• Physical examinations and patient assessment 

• Surgical preparation and assisting 

• Dentistry 

• Laboratory work 

• Pharmacy 

• Patient recovery 

• Compassionate care for hospitalized patients 

Qualified Candidates will have: 

• Must have documented previous Animal Hospital experience 

• Hold a current California RVT license  

• Must have surgery and dentistry experience 

• Flexibility in hours including but not limited to evenings and weekends 

• Customer service skills, including phone skills 

• Working knowledge of computers 

• Excellent communications skills 

• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
