The 404 Veterinary Emergency and Referral Hospital is an established, cutting-edge, multi-disciplinary hospital in Newmarket, just a short drive north of Toronto. We welcome enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) to join our ever-growing Emergency team! This is a flexible schedule, providing casual support for our team.
Our RVTs use their technical skills to the fullest and are given the necessary tools and resources for further developing one or multiple passions within our hospital. We provide our associates with comprehensive onboarding, including a mentoring program to support. New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!
Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery
Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding
Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents

Schedule: Flexible availability, with a minimum of 2 shifts per month required (or more if they are available). ER services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Referral Department is open during normal business hours, 8 am - 6 pm Monday - Saturday (department-dependent)
