Location: Wilbury Vets

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week, over 4 days, plus 1:4 Saturdays 8am-1pm. No OOH or Bank Holidays

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000/annum, depending on experience

We are excited to offer a rare opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our enthusiastic and friendly team. As one of our long standing dedicated Nurses is taking her Nursing skills abroad we are looking for a new RVN to join our Nursing family.

About the Role 
This is a permanent position. The working hours are: 
• 38 hours/week over 4 days, with rolling day off/week. Shifts between 8am and 7.30pm, with 1 early finish/week.

 

• 1:4 Saturdays 8am-1pm. No OOH, on call or Bank Holidays
 

There is no requirement for out-of-hours cover – allowing our nurses to focus on what they do best.  

 

About You 
We are looking for someone who is: 
• An RVN 
• Team spirited and passionate about quality care 
• Interested in orthopaedics, dentistry and nurse consults and using all their nursing skills.

 

You’ll be working alongside a wonderful, supportive and progressive team.

 

About the Practice 
Located in the heart of Hove (2 minute walk from the train station), Wilbury is a well established practice in the community, providing first opinion, orthopaedic and dental referral services. We pride ourselves on delivering high standards for patients and owners. Our recently refurbished facilities completed in 2020 reflect our commitment to excellence ensuring the best possible environment for our team, clients and their pets.

Day-to-Day Duties 
The role encompasses all nursing skills including: 
• Monitoring anaesthesia and theatre duties 
• Ward and inpatient nursing

• Laboratory work

• Running nurse consults 
• Working collaboratively with the vet, nurse, PCA and CCA teams.
