Registered Vascular Technician - Heart & Vascular SpecialistsClinic - Full-Time, Days _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ Work location: 1000 Flower Mound Road, Flower Mound, TX 75028 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed ( _mileage reimbursement provided_ ) Heart & Vascular Specialists **Clinic Highlights:** + Be a part of our clinic that offers the opportunity to strengthen your skills by working with our Providers and Staff in a rewarding, educational environment + If you thrive working in a fast-paced, multi-provider clinic and can handle multiple projects simultaneously, this is the place for you! + Join our team members who have strong work ethic, positive attitudes, and support each other thru collaborative teamwork + We pride ourselves in being compassionate and empathic to our patients and team Here's What You Need + Associates Degree Related field (preferred) + Other Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred) + 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) _and_ + RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) _or_ + RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required) + Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases + Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature + Have excellent communication skills + Have good computer skills + Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism What You Will Do + Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process + Will perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines. + Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary. + Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. + Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation. + Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database. + Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
