Here’s What You Need Associates Degree Related field (preferred) Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred) 1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or RVS – Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required) Minimum 1 year experience with abi’s, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred) Experience with US guided RFA’s (preferred). BLS certification (strongly preferred) Reliable transportation required Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature Have excellent communication skills Have good computer skills Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism   What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process to include: Will perform diagnostic bilateral/ unilateral carotid, arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines. Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedures. Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.  Reviews test results with interpreting physician.  Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.
