Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)/Polysomnographer
Overview Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting multiple Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) with Polysomnographer capabilities to work us in support of the VA Greater Los Angeles Health Care System, located at 11301 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90073. Responsibilities + Maintain records for services rendered, including charges, patient identification, service dates, and provider details. + Ensure timely and quality service evaluation through documented records. + Conduct sleep studies, monitoring key elements such as sleep patterns, oxygen levels, brain waves, breathing rate, and heart rate. + Collaborate with specialists in Pulmonary, ER, and ICU. + Manage airway support and mechanical ventilation. + Administer inhaled drugs and medical gases. + Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures using oxygen and nitric oxide. + Utilize humidification systems, aerosols, and high-flow devices. + Assist with intubation procedures. + Operate all ventilators and ventilation modes at VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System (VAGLAHS). + Conduct chest physiotherapy and postural drainage. + Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). + Respond to rapid response calls. + Set up CPAP, APAP, and BIPAP systems. + Deliver patient and family education. + Perform arterial punctures. + Recognize when medical intervention is required for patient safety. + Conduct split-night diagnostic studies for obstructive sleep apnea. + Perform full-night polysomnographic studies. + Monitor and record sleep stages using EEG, EOG, and EMG. + Record additional sleep parameters, including airflow, oximetry, EKG, and EMG. + Work under the supervision of the Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. + Maintain patient logs electronically and manually. + Score sleep study results electronically and manually. Qualifications + Must be a high school graduate or equivalent + Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy (RT) Program and completion of an accredited sleep program.  + National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed or otherwise licensed in the specialty area and a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) BRPT or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST)-AASM. + Must have Respiratory Board of California state licensure.  + American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification + Two (2) year of recent Registered Respiratory Therapist experience, One (1) year in a critical care. and two (2) years of Polysomnography (PSG) experience.  All candidates must be able to: + Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift + Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist + Lift up to 20 lbs + Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance + Push/pull with 30 lbs of force All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
