Registered Nurse in the Centralized Monitoring Unit CMU plays a key role in supporting the safe and efficient monitoring of nearly patientsrsquo cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status This is a non direct care position ideal for a clinically skilled RN with experience in telemetry who enjoys working in a fast paced technologically advanced environmentThe RN in this role provides clinical support to a team of Central Monitor Technicians CMTs promotes adherence to protocols and facilitates clear communication with inpatient care teams This position contributes to the overall quality of care by helping ensure accurate cardiac monitoring appropriate escalations and consistent workflowJob Responsibilitiesmiddot Support and coordinate the daily activities of Central Monitor Technicians to ensure timely and accurate telemetry monitoringmiddot Serve as a clinical resource for rhythm interpretation protocol adherence and telemetry best practicesmiddot Collaborate with the CMU Nurse Educator to help provide training and reinforce department policies and proceduresmiddot Support smooth transitions between shifts to maintain continuity of patient monitoringmiddot Participate in daily team huddles and contribute to unit based initiativesmiddot Act as a communication link between the CMU and inpatient clinical staff promoting timely updates and coordinationmiddot Assist in reviewing staffing assignments and making adjustments as neededmiddot Contribute to quality improvement efforts related to telemetry and monitoring workflowsmiddot Assist with coaching and guiding practiceQualificationsmiddot BSN required MSN preferred One degree must be in Nursingmiddot Candidates actively pursuing a BSN or MSN may be considered with continued progress toward degree completion expected within five yearsmiddot Minimum one year of nursing experience including telemetry experiencemiddot Current CT RN license requiredmiddot Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician CRAT or equivalent preferredmiddot Strong communication and clinical problem solving skillsmiddot Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environmentmiddot Comfort with using clinical systems
