Job Description:

Prescribes, delegates, and coordinates nursing care of patients. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Evaluates and improves the quality, consistency, and efficiency of the assigned specialty and contributes to the educational and collaborative goals of Baptist Health Paducah

Essential Duties:

Delegation of nursing care activities and provision of supervisionAssures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems and performs technical aspects of care competentlyWorks with surgical technologists, orderlies, and other staff to perform post-case cleaning duties.Restocking of the operating rooms involved in the assigned specialty to ensure that supplies are readily available.Precept new RN staff in the assigned specialtyEstablish clinical competencies for new hires and staff involved with assigned specialty.

Requirements:

One-year nursing experience is preferred, and two years’ relevant patient care experience is required.Must demonstrate good leadership qualities.Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required
