The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing higher level clinical support to the health care team by providing superior nursing care services to patients in accordance with established R.N. job standards, policies, and procedures.

Work Hours/Shift:

Work site will be Urogynecology Chicopee location - 444 Montgomery Street, Chicopee, MA 01020

Training will be at main location in Bloomfield, CT

Monday through Friday in office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You Will Be Responsible For:

Exceptional Patient Care: Contributes to overall quality of nursing care through performance improvement techniques that impact patient care positively

Excellent Communicator: Communicates effectively (written and verbal) with colleagues, patients and family members

Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided. 

Technical Familiarity: Understanding of computer-based applications (E-MAR, clinical documentation), email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.   

Active Teamwork: Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork

Requirements:

Education: Graduate of an accredited RN program.

Licensure: Current Massachusetts and Connecticut RN license required so coverage can be provided at Bloomfield location if needed. CPR required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification preferred.

Training: Learning how to do urodynamic testing - must be able to bend and squat for periods of times

Experience: Competent in a Windows-based computer system. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Multi-tasking, problem solving and decision-making skills required. Ability to organize, analyze and interpret clinical data. High level of dependability and accuracy required.

Flexibility to meet the coverage needs of the department.

Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks

Preferred Skills: 

Certification: National certification in area of specialty

Experience:  Three (3) to four (4) years of related clinical and/or hospital experience, or previous experience in a hospital or ambulatory care setting preferred.
