Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Coordinate (UC) for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit-3 East.
Hours/Shift:
Full-time, day shift, 7a - 7p
Education
Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing
Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN
Certification/Licensure
Registered nursing License (Required)
BLS required within 90 days of hire
Experience
18-months of RN experience is required
RN Unit Coordinators demonstrate proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Department/Position Overview:
The 3East - Intermediate Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General enjoys a supportive team environment and nurse patient ratio including a unit based nurse educator, team coordinator and manager. The unit has an active Partnership council and is currently involved with the hospital Magnet redesignation journey. All new grad RNs receive a 10 to 12-week clinical preceptorship as well as enrollment in the Transition to Practice Program. If you are seeking a fast paced, team based care environment- 3East is the place for you! The patient population on this unit may include: sepsis, hemorrhage, stroke, cardiac, trauma, post op, substance withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$36.89 - $61.48. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
