FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for an assisted living facility, working with one of our external clients, a multi-service certified home care organization.
You will provide UAS assessments to evaluate resident needs, ensuring proper care, and coordinating services.
Position Details:
+ Location: Far Rockaway, NY
+ Type: Permanent, Full-Time
+ Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (No night shifts or overtime)
+ Salary: $100,000 plus $15,000 Sign On Bonus
Benefits:
+ Tuition Reimbursement: $10,000 annually, up to $40,000 total

+ Time Off: 4 weeks vacation, 5 personal days, 8 sick days per year
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
+ NYS RN License
+ 1-2 years of clinical experience
Key Responsibilities:
1. Resident Assessment:
2. Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents to determine their care needs and ensure they are receiving appropriate support.
3. Utilize standardized assessment tools, such as the Uniform Assessment System (UAS), to evaluate the health status and functional abilities of residents.
4. Care Planning and Coordination:
5. Develop individualized care plans based on assessment results and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to implement and adjust these plans as needed.
6. Coordinate with other staff members, families, and external healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
7. Medication Management:
8. Oversee medication administration and management, ensuring adherence to prescriptions and monitoring for potential side effects or interactions.
9. Educate residents and families regarding medication schedules and possible adverse effects.
10. Documentation and Reporting:
11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, medication administration, and resident progress.
12. Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory bodies and facility management.
13. Quality Assurance:
14. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
15. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards for resident care.
16. Education and Training:
17. Provide guidance and training to other staff members on clinical practices, patient care standards, and facility policies.
18. Educate residents and their families on health-related topics, promoting wellness and preventive care.
19. Crisis Management:
20. Respond to medical emergencies and other crises, taking appropriate actions to stabilize residents and coordinate further care if necessary.
