Job Description:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team at Absolut Center. The RN Supervisor will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents and providing leadership and support to the nursing staff. We have an opening on our Weekend Baylor Program, working one shift on Fridays, two shifts on Saturday and two on Sunday. These hours are paid at $50 per hour and any pick-up shifts will be paid at $40 per hour.
THIS IS AN HOURLY POSITION WHICH QUALIFIES FOR OVERTIME!
Responsibilities:
· Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
· Coordinate and oversee nursing care activities on assigned shifts to ensure compliance with established standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
· Conduct regular rounds to assess resident needs, monitor care delivery, and address any issues or concerns.
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
· Assist with the assessment and management of complex resident cases, including medication administration and treatment interventions.
· Mentor and support nursing staff, providing guidance, education, and feedback to promote professional growth and development.
· Participate in staff meetings, in-service training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
· Maintain accurate documentation and records related to resident care, staffing, and incidents.
· Ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff members.
Requirements:
+ Must hold a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with NYS licensing board.
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
+ Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a healthcare setting.
+ Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions under pressure.
+ Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred.
+ CPR certification required.
