Job Overview:
The RN Stroke Program Coordinator is responsible for the establishment and maintenance of quality healthcare services to stroke patients in compliance with state requirements and standards.

Qualifications:

Required:

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing BSNMust demonstrate the following skills: project management, leadership, time-management, strategic and creative thinkingMust have excellent verbal, written and communication skills and competent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointDemonstrates analytical and critical thinking skills with proactive decision and negotiation skillsAbility to work effectively as a team member while assuming a leadership roleAbility to collect, analyze and present data to appropriate committeesCompletion of all orientation requirements by RWJ Rahway

Preferred:

MSNMinimum 3–5 years of relevant clinical experience with stroke care, additional neurological nursing and/or critical care experience preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

Active NJ RN License BLS certification through the American Heart AssociationACLS certification through the American Heart AssociationSpecialty certification CCRN, CNRN, SCRN preferred

Scheduling Requirements:

Day ShiftFull -Time40 hours weeklyMon. - Fri.8am - 4:30pmNo weekends or holidays

Essential Functions:

The RN Stroke Program Coordinator:

Participates in data collection, analysis and reporting of established clinical practice guidelinesWorks with the interdisciplinary team in the development, implementation and evaluation of the Stroke standards of careAssist in professional stroke education programs in conjunction with the education departmentProvides support and resources to the stroke unit staff and patient population,
