**A Brief Overview**
Accountable for guiding the department in improving clinical effectiveness and compliance with the state of operation and national reported evidence-based indicators.
**What you will do**
+ Serves as the expert on the clinic quality initiatives and stays current on changes occurring on the national or state level. May lead quality improvement initiatives in all ambulatory settings.
+ Works with vendors to assure that data is accurately abstracted and submitted according to vendor protocols.
+ Coordinates submission plan with IT, fiscal and medical records as required.
+ Conducts quality reviews for various clinical components to identify areas of potential concerns, opportunities for improvement and identifying trends. Creates process improvement strategies related to quality matters.
+ Conducts in-services and outreach education related to performance improvement, and implementation of best practice, as needed. Works closely with organizational leadership (staff and physicians) to educate on federal and state quality projects and outcomes.
+ Meets all submission timelines and assures that validation scores comply with national requirements.
+ Participates in validation process to assure that necessary changes are implemented and measures the success of these changes.
+ Assures appropriate tools (forms, worksheets, etc.) are developed and available for staff to assure compliance with federal and state quality requirements.
+ Works collaboratively with department leaders to ensure proper quality components are captured for data collection purposes and problem solves with leaders if data is not collected or not within the targeted benchmarks.
+ Acts as the liaison to the system related to all ambulatory quality matters.

**Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
**Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:**
+ 1-3 years nursing in a clinical setting
