Work location: Texas Health Alliance, 10864 Texas Health Trail, Fort Worth, TX 76244
Work hours: Full-time nights, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am
NICU Unit Department highlights:
+ 8-bed Neonatal ICU unit - Level III
+ 25-weeks' gestation on up - utilizing CPAP, Bubble CPAP, Vents, and Jets
+ May Float to assist with Mother/baby Unit; work with feeders & growers
+ Part of the Texas 10-Step Program
Here's What You Need
+ Associate Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred
+ RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
+ BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
+ NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
+ CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually within 90 Days of hire
+ 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
+ 3 years of NICU level III experience strongly preferred
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
+ Assesses the patient
+ Plans the care of the patient
+ Intervenes as appropriate
+ Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
+ Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
+ Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
+ Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
