**Registered Nurse (RN) – Mother Baby PRN III Day Shift** _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ **Work location:** Texas Health Denton: 3000 N I-35 Denton, Texas 76201 **Work hours:** PRN Level III/per diem, Day Shift; 7a-7p as needed; minimum requirement: 6 shift/per 6-week schedule, 2 weekend shift/per 6-week schedule, 1 major/2 minor holiday requirements **Department highlights:** + The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10-step facility with the “Best Place to Have a Baby” designation. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team + The unit has 23 beds Postpartum/Newborn, Couplet Care, 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 Antepartum rooms and 4 private OB/ED beds + Level III NICU with 16 beds with private rooms + The unit delivers an average between 175-200 a month. + OB Hospitalist 24/7 + Anesthesiologist dedicated to L&D 24/7 + Brand new Women’s Tower that opened July 2022 **Qualifications** + Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred + RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required + BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required + CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days required + NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days required + 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse required + Mother Baby experience preferred **What You Will Do** + Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process + Assesses the patient + Plans the care of the patient + Intervenes as appropriate + Evaluates the effectiveness of interventional + Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care + Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information + Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers **Additional perks of being a Texas Health** + Benefits include 401k, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Discount Programs, as well as other benefits. + Delivery of high-quality patient care + Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). + A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth. **Entity Highlights:** Texas Health Denton is a 255-bed, full-service hospital providing convenient care to people across North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1987.
