Learn About A Day in the Life of a Med Surg RN: Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for medical/surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire. Six months previous nursing experience. Preferred Job Requirements: Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSBN) from an accredited school of nursing.
