Unlock your potential at Johnston-Willis Hospital! **Job Summary and Qualifications** As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in line with the requirements of the department and the standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in our infusion services center. In this role you will administer multi-dose intravenous chemotherapy regimens including clinical trial protocols to our patients following a cancer diagnosis. If you are looking for a supportive and teamwork oriented environment, apply today! **What you will do in this role:** + As an infusion registered nurse you will initiate and maintain intravenous lines and tubing, administer medication and fluid therapy, and educate patients and family members on line maintenance and treatment as well as side effects. + Working closely with oncology-certified nurses and a team of cancer experts and the global cancer resources of the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and execute patient care plans related to infusion services. + Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate. + Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. + Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.\Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology. **What qualifications you will need:** + Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred). + Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License. + At least 1 year of infusion nursing experience in a clinic and/or acute care hospital setting preferred. + Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification. + ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certificate Provider + Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) preferred.
