SHIFT:

Full time, 36 hours per weekEvenings 3p-3a

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Board-certified emergency physiciansEmergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support, trauma and pediatric certificationsPediatric-trained team to treat children of all agesOvernight observation rooms for children and a separate family-friendly waiting areaSeamless connection to easily accessible radiology departmentLanding pad for Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance to ensure quicker treatment in emergency situations

Education:

ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.

Certification:

Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.BLS within 90 days of hire.ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire

Experience:

2 years Nursing Experience in a hospital setting..RN Experience in the ED highly preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$28.16 - $46.94. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
