Registered Nurse RN - Cath Lab/IR Department, Full-time, Days

Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Days, on-call required (Needs to live within 30 minutes of facility due to call requirement)

Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth is a 222-bed full-service facility that includes surgical and imaging services, a 24-hour emergency department, orthopedics and sports therapy, adult critical care, and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit.

Here’s what you need
+ · Diploma in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred
+ · CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency
+ · Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
+ · BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
+ · ACLS – within 90 days required
+ · 1-year experience as a registered nurse in an acute care setting or completion of a RN residency required
+ · 2-years current Cath/IR experience strongly preferred - will consider candidates with ICU and ED experience
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will
+ demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
+ The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human needs.
+ The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and understanding of patient’s affiliations.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* assesses the patient
* plans the care of the patient
* intervenes as appropriate
* evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
