Registered Nurse (RN) – Burn Program Manager – Full-time, Days – MAGNET Hospital, Level I Trauma Center _Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together_ Position Highlights + Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 + Work environment: Trauma Administration at Texas Health Fort Worth, a Magnet designated Hospital, Level I Trauma Center conveniently located close to downtown Fort Worth. + ·Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, mostly daytime hours. Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth is a 833-bed, Magnet-designated regional referral center that has served the residents of Tarrant County and surroundings communities since 1930. Hospital services include cardiovascular care, high-risk obstetrics, gynecology, orthopedics and sports medicine, neonatal intensive care, and trauma/emergency medicine. In early 2014, Texas Health Fort Worth opened a new 75,000 square foot Emergency Services Center, one of the largest in the region. Texas Health Fort Worth has more than 4,000 employees, 200 volunteers and nearly 1,000 physicians on its medical staff. Texas Health Fort Worth recently received national recognition for its oncology program and was named “Best Place to Have a Baby” in Tarrant County. The hospital is also a designated Cycle III Chest Pain Center by the Society of Chest Pain Centers Here’s what you need + BSN required; Master’s Degree preferred + Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire + BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req + ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required + PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required + ABLS - Advanced Burn Life Support within 90 Days required + 5 Years Burn related experience which includes at least 3 years direct clinical care required + 3 Years Progressive leadership experience preferred + Prior burn program administration experience preferred The successful Burn Program Manager will have the following skills: + Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally across disciplines and with a variety of distinct constituents as well as the ability to articulate complex information in understandable terms. + Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across and beyond the organization. + Demonstrated ability to influence and coach for results. + Demonstrated ability to lead organizational initiatives, accomplish results and achieve measurable outcomes or goals. + Strong analytical reasoning skills, including the ability to implement projects, and solve complex situations. + Must be able to work in challenging situations, involving competing interests, and interdisciplinary groups. + Clinical and compliance knowledge with Major Burn Programs. + Proficient computer and Microsoft Office skills. What you will do Operations + Provides leadership and direction for the hospital’s burn program delegating activities as required for safe, efficient and effective operations. + Coordinate management across the continuum of burn care, which includes the planning and implementation of clinical protocols and practice management guidelines, monitoring care of in-hospital patients, and serving as a resource for clinical practice. Regulatory Compliance + Using shared decision making, develops processes to maintain compliance with regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies (TJC, American Burn Association, entity leadership, etc). + Ensures operations are carried out in compliance with these regulations. Quality and Performance Improvement + Create a culture of continuous improvement and accountability ensuring the integration of quality and performance improvement into operations. + Supervise the collection, coding and scoring of burn data. Fiscal Management + Operationally responsible for the financial performance including operating and capital budgeting for the burn program. + Promote activities to reduce costs, enhance revenues and achieve operational efficiency Human Resource Management + Recruits and retains a quality work force. + Provides a work environment which attracts and retains staff. + Accountable for orientation, continuing education and competency verification for all staff.
