Registered Nurse (RN) - Ambulatory Endoscopy / Gastro Clinic - Detroit

This position will be a mix of in-patient and out-patient procedures.

Full Time - Day Shift,  Monday - Friday - 8 hour shifts, Shift is 9:30am-6:00pm.

1 Saturday every 4-5 weeks. Shift will be 930am-6pm.Monday-Friday (off day given during the week when working Saturday. On-call 8a-4p Saturday (when closed), Sundays, and holidays. On-call is voluntary sign-up. Gaps will be filled with those having the least number of voluntary sign-ups. Orientation training 8a-430p Monday -Friday.

Must live within 30 minutes of the clinic.

Candidate Preferences:  1 year of nursing experience in inpatient or ambulatory required. Pre/Post/Procedural experience a plus. Strong IV skills preferred. Ability to multitask in a fast paced endoscopy unit. This position will mainly consist of inpatient & outpatient procedures.

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions. 

 

 

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:

Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing.
