**Description:**
**Position Purpose**
In the Acute Care Department at **Saint Francis Hospital** , the Registered Nuse (RN) provides care of adults with a variety of medical diagnoses, including, but not limited to, diseases or disorders of the pulmonary system, gastrointestinal system, renal system, endocrine system, circulatory system, neurological system, as well as infectious diseases, dermatological disorders and autoimmune disorders.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Dynamic work environment in a fast-paced unit, catering to patients with acute care conditions.
+ Administer medications, including analgesics, and use non-pharmacological techniques to manage pain while also monitoring and caring for surgical wounds and dressings.
+ Assist patients in early ambulation, provide education on movement restrictions, and collaborate with physical therapists. Educate patients on pre-op and post-op procedures, including what to expect during recovery.
**Minimum Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ Graduation from an accredited nursing school
+ Valid RN license in Connecticut
**Preferred:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Nursing
+ The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Acute Care, Medical-Surgical or Cardiac Telemetry experience in an inpatient setting.
+ BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
**Position Highlights:**
+ Full Time: 36hrs/week-Night Shift,
+ Every other Weekend/Holiday
