Job Description:
Registered Nurse PreOp Surgery
26 Hours Weekly, Part Time, Dayshift
Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) assigned to his/her care and is responsible for the patient’s care within the parameters of the Nursing Practice.
The following is a summary of the major functions of this individual's job. He or she may perform other duties, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below, and specific functions may change from time to time.
1. Completes and documents an initial patient assessment and performs ongoing assessment according to standards of care and patient conditions.
2. Develops plan of care.
3. Provides care according to policy and procedure.
4. Evaluates patient response to interventions.
5. Demonstrates proficiency in the nursing skills specific to area of practice.
Requirements:
Active Kentucky License
BCLS required within 90 days of hire
ACLS required within 6 months of hire
