**Position Purpose**
Join our dynamic 8W Acute Pediatrics team, a 16-bed postpartum and pediatric unit that collaborates closely with our 68-bed Maternity Suites. As a Registered Nurse in this setting, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to both pediatric and postpartum patients in a family-centered environment.
**What You Will Do**
+ Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric and postpartum patients utilizing the nursing process
+ Effectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
+ Provide education to patients and families regarding newborn care and pediatric conditions
+ Offer lactation support and promote mother-infant bonding
+ Adapt care plans using critical thinking and clinical judgment
+ Collaborate with pediatric hospitalists, nurse practitioners, and other departments including the ED and surgical services
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ **Education:** Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate’s in Nursing required, BSN or MSN preferred
+ **Experience:** 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience required
+ **Licensure:** Current Maryland RN license or compact state equivalent
+ **Certifications:**
+ BLS from American Heart Association (required)
+ NRP and PALS (required)
+ Additional specialty certifications as applicable

**Pay rate:** $37.88 - $54.19
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
