Position Purpose
Join our dynamic 8W Acute Pediatrics team, a 16-bed postpartum and pediatric unit that collaborates closely with our 68-bed Maternity Suites. As a Registered Nurse in this setting, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based care to both pediatric and postpartum patients in a family-centered environment.
What You Will Do
Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric and postpartum patients utilizing the nursing processEffectively communicate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teamsProvide education to patients and families regarding newborn care and pediatric conditionsOffer lactation support and promote mother-infant bondingAdapt care plans using critical thinking and clinical judgmentCollaborate with pediatric hospitalists, nurse practitioners, and other departments including the ED and surgical servicesMinimum Qualifications
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Associate’s in Nursing required, BSN or MSN preferredExperience: 1–2 years of pediatric nursing experience requiredLicensure: Current Maryland RN license or compact state equivalentCertifications:BLS from American Heart Association (required)NRP and PALS (required)Additional specialty certifications as applicablePosition Highlights

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
