All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Schedule:** _PRN_ **Shift** : _Days_ **Location:** 601 East Rollins Street Orlando, FL 32803 **The community youll be caring for:** AdventHealth Orlando + Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando + Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America + AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country + We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year **The role youll contribute:** _This position requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to continuously assess and reassess the patient's health status in the immediate postoperative phase and the immediate ability to respond to changes in the patient's condition without direct immediate supervision. It requires close communication with the department of anesthesia and attending surgeon as well as all clinical support ancillary services. Responsible to adhere to Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan, and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies._ **The value youll bring to the team:** _Actively participates in direct patient care (geriatric, adult, adolescent, and pediatric), while analyzing and interpreting patient specific information to assess and reassess the individual nursing care plan._ _Demonstrates critical thinking skills when interpreting changes in patients immediate post-operative condition._ _Communicates patient information to all appropriate caregivers, to assure effective continuum of care._ _Demonstrates competence in the management and interpretation of all patient monitoring devices in the PACU environment._ _Provides accurate, timely documentation in Surgi net and Power chart while utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to deliver competent, effective, cost efficient patient care._ _Participates in the revision and review of unit specific policies and procedures, while actively engaging in unit goals and performance improvement._ _Maintains appropriate infection control measures and maintains a safe patient environment. Assists in the care and maintenance of equipment and stocking the unit with supplies_ Qualifications **The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed** **:** Registered Nurse (RN) Required Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) Required Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required Associate's of Nursing Required Bachelor's of Nursing Preferred 1 critical care acute hospital experience Preferred 1 Post anesthesia experience Preferred This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
