GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family.
Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team.
Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.
Unit Overview:
Our team of specially trained doctors, nurses and therapists treat babies in the NICU, attend high-risk deliveries, and, if needed, provide care immediately after birth. After your baby leaves the NICU, your pediatrician will handle his/her care.
If a child born at another facility needs intensive care, our NICU transport team is available to transport infants from their birth hospital to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit in less than 30 minutes.
P3 NICU - 1-unit PCN and NICU together, one staff, staff rotate to both NICU and PCN.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
BSN preferred. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
