This position will act in a supervisory role in place of the Unit Coordinator when unavailable (afternoons/nights/weekends). This position will ensure appropriate staffing for the facility, units are communicating amongst each other, and charting is reviewed regularly to ensure completion during scheduled shift. The position will be responsible for assisting with any new admissions, transfers and discharges that may occur during the scheduled shift as well as completing any nursing duties that require the experience and skill level of a Registered Nurse. This position will be highly visible and is expected to round regularly to monitor for appropriate nursing techniques and compliance with policies and standards of care. Auditing of multiple different care areas and focuses will be required. This position will need to communicate and assist with member, family and staff concerns in the absence of the Unit Coordinator or Director of Nursing. Other supervisory duties included in this position include processing time sheets, approving leave time, counseling and discipline, and performance evaluations for subordinates.
