Nurse Manager – Halls Units (Subacute Rehab / LTC)Levindale Hospital – Baltimore, MD
Full-Time | Day Shift
Reporting to the Director of Nursing for Long‑Term Care & Geriatric Center, the RN Manager oversees both Hall 1 and Hall 2 during operation hours. These predominantly geriatric units demand a leader who serves as a role model, resource, and clinical advisor—ensuring safe, age‑appropriate care, compliance with National Patient Safety Goals, and a positive team culture. You will supervise the Assistant Nurse Manager and collaborate closely with clinical staff to uphold high standards of care.
Unit OverviewsHall 1 – Subacute Care
Fast-paced skilled nursing/sub‑acute rehab setting serving patients post‑op, post‑stroke, post‑cardiac events, ambulatory rehab, and high-volume wound care.
Hall 2 – LTC/Memory Care
Traditional long‑term care unit with residents ranging from high functionality to bedridden, including patients with diabetes, cardiac issues, dementia, behavioral concerns.
Leadership & Supervision
Guide care team performance, champion clinical excellence, and model behaviors that reinforce safety and teamwork.
Operational Management
Ensure adequate staffing, efficient workflow, and fiscal accountability aligned with departmental budgets.
Quality & Compliance
Develop and monitor systems to meet Joint Commission, CARF, CMS, and National Patient Safety Goals.
Staff Development
Mentor and support professional growth among RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and support staff; oversee performance appraisals.
Collaborative Care
Coordinate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and families to implement comprehensive, patient-centred care.
Graduate of a CCNE‑accredited nursing school
Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); BSN and national certification (e.g., GERO-BC, RN-BC) preferred
5–7 years of relevant nursing experience, including leadership
Active Maryland RN license
American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
Strong working knowledge of geriatric, sub‑acute, or memory care nursing
